Happiness

Happy Sims lead to success. In order to progress through the game, meet new Sims and participate in activities, you will need to keep your Sim happy. To do this, make sure you are involved in different activities, stay sociable, and learn new skills such as cooking or fishing.

Needs

Your Sims have needs. This is why in the lower left hand corner of the screen you must pay attention to their current status and see what requires attention. This could range from hunger to bad hygiene and can reflect your Sim’s mood.

Cooking

In order to gain a cooking skill you must first finish the cooking tutorial successfully. You must keep the pots cooking without allowing them to boil over. To do this, touch a pot to select it then shake the iPhone to keep the heat down and stir the pot. Do this enough times in the allotted amount of time and you will earn one point.
In order to cook in general, you must first purchase a recipe from the local “Corsican Bistro” located by the beach. Once you have done this, go to the grocery store “Quickmart” to purchase your ingredients. You can also grow them in your garden if you have already upgraded your house, which saves time and money.

Queued actions

Watch for the queued actions located in the top left portion of the screen. If you are waiting on your Sim to perform an action, make sure they are not currently busy with other multiple tasks. To delete some, tap the icon.

Fishing

To fish properly, tilt the iPhone to lure a fish in then shake the iPhone upwards to catch the fish.

Repairs

To repair electronics and other things that go wrong, such as a broken sink, drag them into the trashcan located in the front yard. Then purchase new ones and replace them accordingly all within the time limit to earn a skill point.

Gardening

Gardening will save you money. You can start a fruit and vegetable garden along the side of your house if you upgrade it within Build mode. To buy seeds for planting, stop by the Hobby Shop in town. Remember that fertilizer also helps them grow faster.

Easy money

Go to Walter’s house and become friends. He will then try to challenge you to see who has the largest trout from the lake. If you do this, Walter will hand over 200 Simoleons.
Kia will also give you 200 Simoleons if you give her a catfish.
Earn money by selling fish. Go to the Market and select “Shop” in the menu. You can then use the plus and minus signs to sell your stock of fish. Vegetables can also be sold for Simoleons.

Wishes and goals

An important feature are wishes and goals. With a total of 73 unlockable achievements, these wishes also affect your Sims mood rating and progression through the game. Complete each task to continue on.

Controlling the view

Camera control is very important, as it allows you to view specific objects and perform actions when you cannot normally see them. In order to pan the camera around, slide your finger across the screen. To zoom in and out, use the slider bar on the right hand portion of the screen. To orbit with the camera and get a bird’s eye view, touch the screen with two fingers.

In the Symphony branch of music at level 10, you will drive everywhere in a limo. I also believe that you can be booed and cheered when people see you.

Yesterday, I discovered that if you have even one point in charisma and as long as you’re meeting people, you are able to unlock the first two challenges. This is helpful if you plan on doing anything with the charisma skill. I believe my sim is already at level 4 and it’s due mostly to just talking to people.

This works extremely well if you come from a large family – my sim is the oldest of five, so I had a lot of birthday parties so far.

Apparently, level 8 or 9 (not sure which) of Journalism, you also get a limo. Now – I’m not actually SURE of this. This sim is the son of a hit movie composer, who has died. If that’s the case, then children from the musical career inherit the limo when the parent sim dies.

Medical sims get pagers and can be occasionally on call (like real doctors)

Charismatic sims can ask for pormotions or raises from bosses (you have to do so in person)

To go along with Journalism, articles count as books, so if you have a sim that has the writing skill, these count toward books (ie, if they have five books and they do five articles, they have 10 best sellers on their hands)

So far, I have sims in Journalism, Medical, Science, Athletics, Culinary, Politics, and Business (I’m doing a legacy), so when I discover stuff about that, I’ll let you know!

No, I think this is part of politics. I have other sims who are friendly or charismatic and only the sim in politics gets these responses. IE, if anyone talks to her, they can debate politics if they know she’s in politics. It’s based on career and traits. For example, sims who are virtuosos or artistic can discuss art or music, just as when people discover these traits, they can also discuss. It’s just like in real life – if you discover that I’m in music, you’ll naturally ask something about music. If I find that you like computers, I’d ask about computers.

Have a Ghost Baby (Without Killing)

How to do it:

Set one of your Sim’s traits to Kleptomaniac (Please not the The Sim must be female!)
Go to graveyard
Wait until Sim steals remains or tell sim to swipe something (remains must be male)
On the second day since stealing grave and putting it in home, the ghost will appear at 11:00pm and disappear at 4:00am it will appear every other day
Socialize with ghost every night it appears until you are at best friend ghost will then begin appearing every night
Get fertility reward
Confess attraction to ghost
Ask to snuggle on bed, kiss
Try for baby every night until you start throwing up
Congratulations! You’re now having a ghost’s baby! (It will be born as a ghost that you can control)

Gender of Babies

Must have a pregnant female, Eating apples will increase your chances of having boys!
(i.e. 3 apples = 3 boys)
On the other hand, eating watermelons will increase your chances of having girls!
(i.e. 3 watermelons = 3 girls)
To have increased chances of twins or triplets have one or both parents have the lifetime reward of fertility treatment.
I heard this from someone else. I had my pregnant female eat three watermelons to test it out and it worked! She had 3 triplet girls.

Easy Money

Start writing novels on your computer. Write fiction novels as they take the least amount of time. They will not bring you too much Simoleons. When you write, your skill will automatically advance. If your skill is high enough, you will be able to write more novel types/genres. The most money can be made from “Romance Novels”. You will get royalties for six weeks once you finish a book. With the “Writing” skill maxed out, you can make approximately 40,000 Simoleons every week, which is more than the 34,800 Simoleons you can get by purchasing all neighborhood businesses, and takes less time to achieve. In three game weeks you should have a very high speed writing, 9 or 10 novels as best sellers, and 100,000 Simoleons.

Protection From Death

Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard, and near the gate, there is a strange bush called a “Death Flower Bush” – Harvest the flower from it. If you keep this flower in your sim’s inventory, when you die the grim reaper will trade it for a second chance at life. This flower will not reappear, but there are Unknown Special Seeds (requires level 7 Gardening to plant) dotted about near the graveyard (and a few other places) which may grow another Death Flower (and sometimes more if your Sim has the Green Thumb trait to revive the plant.)

New clothes

To get new clothes, you first have to buy a dresser from “Buy Options”. Once there, click “Plan Outfit.” You can put a total of three different clothes for each type (formal, every day, athletic, etc.).

Making Friends

Buy a guitar. Play it to learn how to play guitar. Keep playing until you reach 5/10 level, which gives you the ability to “Play For Tips”. When you have that ability, go to the park with the guitar in your inventory. When you are in the park, click the guitar in your inventory, and select “Play For Tips.” People watching you will become your friends if you keep playing. The higher your guitar skill, the faster they will become friends with you.

Turn off Aging

In the options menu you can choose the gameplay settings. When you uncheck the box before “Aging” the sims won’t become older anymore. You can also slow aging down in this menu by setting the lifetime bar. It’s changeable from 25 days too 960 days.

Teleportation

Press Ctrl+Shift+C to open up the console type in TestingCheatsEnabled True now click shift and click on a place to walk and it should say teleport me here.

Trait Modification

Once testingcheatsenabled true has been activated, if you hold the “Shift” key while clicking your active Sim. An option appears were you can edit your Sims traits.
